Diabetes hand cramp? What to do about it

Diabetes hand cramp and painful cramping must be taken very seriously, there are many who have lost the ability to use the upper limb due to the affects of elevated sugar levels. High blood sugar is particularly hard on the hands, the very small blood vessels and nerve fibers are very susceptible to damage from excessive glucose (sugars) in the blood. Diabetes hand cramps is often a signal of a deeper damage occurring in the upper limb, it is best to address this early.

One of the more troubling aspects of high blood sugar is the continued system wide disturbances which occur through out the body; often the upper limbs are the first to experience difficulties. Diabetics are not always aware of the trouble growing in the limbs, high blood sugar is linked to carpal tunnel syndrome, this is an actual accelerated lost of bone or cartilage in the hands. The cramping in the hands can be a result of nerve damage or the loss of cartilage, glucose in excess is a poison through out the whole system, there are very few diseases like high blood sugar which has the ability to attack all parts of the body.

The connection between the loss of bone and cartilage (carpal tunnel syndrome) is something few diabetics are aware of, it is crucial to address high blood sugar with a healing diet. There are no medications which can reverse the loss of cartilage, doctors usually prescribe physical therapy but this does not often stop the pain. The key to addressing an illness as serious as high blood sugar is with confront it with a healing diet, a healing diet is not the same thing as a sugar free diet, there has never been a sugar free diet which has reversed high blood sugar.

There is some good news, there is a European diet reported to stop the pain and cramp in diabetic’s hands and feet, the diet is used in over 10 countries and is now combined with the type 2 reverse diabetes diet.
